Aside from shooting major sport campaigns and still-life’s, BK has committed himself to documenting Champion Trees across America and created the Gathering Growth Foundation, a lifetime project documenting all 795 Champion Trees in the United States with 4x5 film, digital images, audio, and leaf samples of each tree.

Residing in upstate New York, BK devotes his time to driving throughout the country in his van, exploring old growth forests and helping to preserve history that’s often times older than this country.
